Kentucky High School Basketball - Fairdale nips Burrell
December 30, 2023: Fairdale, KY 40118 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Fairdale Bulldogs (Fairdale, KY) and the visiting Burrell Bucs (Lower Burrell, PA), saw Fairdale's basketball squad hold off Burrell by a tally of 52-48.
With the victory, Fairdale improves its record to 12-2 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Butler (Louisville, KY) to play the Bears in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, January 3. The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 7-6. Butler won 61-47 in their recent non-league challenge against Ohio County (Hartford, KY)
Next up, the Bucs play the Derry Trojans (Derry, PA) in a WPIAL 3A 3 challenge, on Tuesday, January 2. Burrell will attempt to improve on its 6-1 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 5-2 record after their 71-61 league loss to Deer Lakes (Russellton, PA).
