Virginia High School Basketball - Miller School of Albemarle crushes Calvary Day
December 30, 2023: Charlottesville, VA 22903 Miller School of Albemarle Mavericks (Charlottesville, VA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Calvary Day Cavaliers (Savannah, GA), 56-35 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Miller School of Albemarle upgrades its record to 9-2 on the season. The Mavericks travel to Carlisle (Axton, VA) to play the Chiefs in a VISAA Division IV bout on Thursday, January 4. The Chiefs go into the bout with a record of 10-6. Carlisle lost 79-73 in their recent non-league bout against Rockingham County (Wentworth, NC)
Next up, the Cavaliers play the Long County Blue Tide (Ludowici, GA) in a AAA Region 3 bout, on Friday, January 5. Calvary Day will attempt to upgrade on its 1-9 season record. The Blue Tide go into the bout with a 11-2 record after their 68-47 non-league loss to Sonoraville (Calhoun, GA).
