St. Patrick-St. Vincent Bruins (Vallejo, CA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Castro Valley Trojans (Castro Valley, CA), 69-55 in a non-league bout.

With the win, St. Patrick-St. Vincent upgrades its record to 7-3 on the season. The Bruins host Pinole Valley (Pinole, CA) to clash with the Spartans in a Tri-County - Rock bout on Wednesday, January 3. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 7-8. Pinole Valley won 69-50 in their recent non-league bout against Skyline (Oakland, CA)

Next up, the Trojans clash with the American Eagles (Fremont, CA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Castro Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 9-4 record after their 58-47 non-league win over Deer Valley (Antioch, CA).
