Virginia High School Basketball - Cumberland beaten by Louisa County
December 30, 2023: Cumberland, VA 23040 In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Louisa County Lions basketball team scored a good 65-53 triumph over the Cumberland Dukes.
In their next game, the Lions face the Monticello Mustangs (Charlottesville, VA) in a Jefferson match, on Wednesday, January 3. Louisa County will attempt to improve on its 3-5 season record. The Mustangs come into the battle with a 5-6 record after their 59-40 non-league loss to William Monroe (Stanardsville, VA).
The Dukes (2-4) will now prepare for their battle against Amelia County (Amelia Court House, VA). The Raiders come into the James River battle with a 4-2 record. In their last battle, Amelia County was toppled by KIPP Pride (Gaston, NC), 64-60, in a non-league battle.
