Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Southern Columbia Area nudges Danville
December 30, 2023: Danville, PA 17821 Southern Columbia Area Tigers (Catawissa, PA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Danville Ironmen (Danville, PA), 51-45 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Southern Columbia Area upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Tigers host Mount Carmel (Mount Carmel, PA) to clash with the RED TORNADOES in a Heartland III bout on Wednesday, January 3. The RED TORNADOES go into the bout with a record of 3-5. Mount Carmel lost 56-52 in their recent non-league bout against Marian Catholic (Tamaqua, PA)
Next up, the Ironmen clash with the Berwick Bulldogs (Berwick, PA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Danville will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 0-3 record after their 57-55 non-league loss to Mountain View (Kingsley, PA).
