South Dakota High School Basketball - Mitchell edges DeLaSalle
December 30, 2023: Mitchell, SD 57301 The Mitchell Kernels (Mitchell, SD) basketball nipped the visiting DeLaSalle Islanders (Minneapolis, MN), 45-41 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Kernels (6-0) will now prepare for their outing against Harrisburg (Harrisburg, SD). The Tigers go into the AA outing with a 4-1 record. In their last outing, Harrisburg was tipped by Cordova (Cordova, TN), 56-55, in a non-league outing.
The Islanders now hold a 2-4 record. They play next when they host St. Anthony Village for a AAA Section 4 outing on Tuesday, January 2. DeLaSalle will clash with a Huskies squad coming off a 66-33 non-league win over Simley (Inver Grove Heights, MN). The Huskies record now stands at 5-3.
