Arkansas High School Basketball - Quitman over DeWitt
December 30, 2023: DeWitt, AR 72042 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Quitman Bulldogs (Quitman, AR) and the host DeWitt Dragons (DeWitt, AR), saw Quitman's basketball squad overcome DeWitt by a tally of 59-50.
With the victory, Quitman improves its record to 6-12 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Izard County (Brockwell, AR) to play the Cougars in a 2A Region 2 challenge on Friday, January 5. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 10-6. Izard County won 59-51 in their recent non-league challenge against Melbourne (Melbourne, AR)
Next up, the Dragons play the McGehee Owls (McGehee, AR) in a 3A Region 8 challenge, on Tuesday, January 2. DeWitt will attempt to improve on its 5-7 season record.
