New Mexico High School Basketball - Zuni tops Dexter
December 30, 2023: Zuni, NM 87327 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Zuni Thunderbirds (Zuni, NM) and the visiting Dexter Demons (Dexter, NM), saw Zuni's basketball squad knock off Dexter by a tally of 63-52.
With the victory, Zuni improves its record to 5-6 on the campaign. The Thunderbirds host Laguna Acoma (New Laguna, NM) to play the Hawks in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 5. The Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 0-10. Laguna Acoma lost 68-50 in their recent non-league challenge against Socorro (Socorro, NM)
Next up, the Demons play the Goddard Rockets (Roswell, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 8. Dexter will attempt to improve on its 5-5 season record. The Rockets come into the challenge with a 1-8 record after their 33-28 non-league loss to Valencia (Los Lunas, NM).
