In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting East View Patriots basketball team scored a good 78-60 triumph over the Wimberley Texans.

In their next game, the Patriots meet the Cedar Creek Eagles (Cedar Creek, TX) in a 5A Region III District 23 match, on Wednesday, January 3. East View will attempt to better on its 16-5 season record. The Eagles enter the match with a 15-6 record after their 73-33 non-league win over Santa Gertrudis Academy (Kingsville, TX).

With the defeat, Wimberley moves to 13-8 on the year. The Texans travel to Boerne (Boerne, TX) to meet the Greyhounds in a 4A Region IV District 27 match on Tuesday, January 2. The Greyhounds enter the match with a record of 16-5. Boerne won 50-49 in their recent non-league match against Sinton (Sinton, TX)
