Texas High School Basketball - Eastland holds off Roscoe
December 30, 2023: Roscoe, TX 79545 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Eastland Mavericks (Eastland, TX) and the host Roscoe Plowboys (Roscoe, TX), saw Eastland's basketball squad hold off Roscoe by a tally of 46-40.
With the victory, Eastland improves its record to 8-8 on the campaign. The Mavericks travel to Breckenridge (Breckenridge, TX) to confront the Buckaroos in a 3A Region I District 8 challenge on Tuesday, January 2. The Buckaroos come into the challenge with a record of 6-12.
Next up, the Plowboys confront the Bronte Longhorns (Bronte, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 5. Roscoe will attempt to improve on its 3-5 season record. The Longhorns come into the challenge with a 6-12 record after their 51-39 non-league win over Eden (Eden, TX).
