Illinois High School Basketball - St. Joseph-Ogden can't hold off El Paso-Gridley
December 30, 2023: St. Joseph, IL 61873 The El Paso-Gridley Titans basketball team scored 49 points and restricted the host St. Joseph-Ogden Spartans to 48 in the Titans non-league victory on Saturday.
The Titans now sport a 11-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host LeRoy for a Heart of Illinois contest on Tuesday, January 2. El Paso-Gridley will battle a Panthers team coming off a 64-60 non-league win over Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond (Arthur, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 4-7.
The Spartans (12-2) will now prepare for their contest against Williamsville (Williamsville, IL). The Bullets come into the non-league contest with a 11-2 record. In their last contest, Williamsville was nudged by Tolono Unity (Tolono, IL), 48-45, in a non-league contest.
