The Willow Spring Storm (Fuquay-Varina, NC) basketball nipped the host George C. Marshall Statesmen (Falls Church, VA), 52-46 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Storm (3-10) will now prepare for their test against South Garner (Garner, NC). The Titans go into the 4A Greater Neuse River test with a 9-2 record. In their last test, South Garner got by Middle Creek (Apex, NC), 49-38, in a non-league test.

The Statesmen now own a 10-2 record. They play next when they host Langley for a District 2 test on Tuesday, January 2.
