The South Tahoe Vikings basketball team (South Lake Tahoe, CA), was overwhelmed 71-31 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Golden Valley Cougars (Merced, CA)

The Cougars now possess a 11-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Merced for a Central California Conference battle on Wednesday, January 3. Golden Valley will confront a Bears team coming off a 63-32 non-league win over Kennedy (Delano, CA). The Bears record now stands at 8-8.
