South Carolina High School Basketball - Porter-Gaud knocked off by Greensboro Day School
December 30, 2023: Charleston, SC 29407 The Greensboro Day School Bengals basketball team scored 51 points and held the host Porter-Gaud Cyclones to 39 in the Bengals non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Bengals now sport a 16-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Calvary Day School for a NCISAA Piedmont contest on Wednesday, January 3. Greensboro Day School will battle a Cougars team coming off a 81-41 non-league win over Ashley Ridge (Summerville, SC). The Cougars record now stands at 10-7.
The Cyclones (11-3) will now prepare for their contest against Northwood Academy (Charleston, SC). The Chargers enter the SCISA AAAA Region III contest with a 2-7 record. In their last contest, Northwood Academy was defeated by Lucy Beckham (Mt. Pleasant, SC), 56-47, in a non-league contest.
