The Shallowater Mustangs basketball team (Shallowater, TX), was nudged 75-71 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Hamshire-Fannett Longhorns (Hamshire, TX)

The Longhorns now possess a 16-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Porter for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 2. Hamshire-Fannett will battle a Spartans team coming off a 62-35 non-league loss to Cinco Ranch (Katy, TX). The Spartans record now stands at 11-7.
