The Timpview Thunderbirds (Provo, UT) basketball crushed the host John Paul II Centurions (Corpus Christi, TX), 68-35 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Thunderbirds (5-4) will now prepare for their test against Wasatch (Heber City, UT). The Wasps go into the 5A Region 7 test with a 5-4 record. In their last test, Wasatch walloped Mountain Ridge (Herriman, UT), 56-55, in a non-league test.

The Centurions now own a 12-14 record. They play next when they host Brentwood Christian for a TAPPS 4A District 3 test on Tuesday, January 2. John Paul II will encounter a Bears squad coming off a 72-37 non-league loss to Round Rock Westwood (Austin, TX). The Bears record now stands at 10-14.
