Wessington Springs Spartans (Wessington Springs, SD) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Jones County Coyotes (Murdo, SD), 67-27 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Wessington Springs upgrades its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Ethan (Ethan, SD) to play the Rustlers in a non-league bout on Friday, January 5. The Rustlers come into the bout with a record of 7-0.

Next up, the Coyotes play the Philip Scotties (Philip, SD) in a B Region 7 bout, on Thursday, January 4. Jones County will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record. The Scotties come into the bout with a 3-1 record after their 65-44 league win over Kadoka (Kadoka, SD).
