Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Kingsburg Vikings (Kingsburg, CA) and the host Mt. Whitney Pioneers (Visalia, CA), saw Kingsburg's basketball squad hold off Mt. Whitney by a tally of 55-52.

With the victory, Kingsburg improves its record to 9-7 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Dinuba (Dinuba, CA) to confront the Emperors in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 4. The Emperors come into the challenge with a record of 14-3. Dinuba won 70-58 in their recent non-league challenge against Porterville (Porterville, CA)

Next up, the Pioneers confront the Yosemite Badgers (Oakhurst, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 3. Mt. Whitney will attempt to improve on its 2-11 season record.
