December 30, 2023: Vanceburg, KY 41179 The Lewis County Lions (Vanceburg, KY) basketball nipped the visiting Nicholas County Bluejackets (Carlisle, KY), 66-61 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Lions (5-5) will now prepare for their test against Russell (Russell, KY). The Red Devils go into the District 63 test with a 5-4 record. In their last test, Russell got by Wolfe County (Campton, KY), 69-57, in a non-league test.
The Bluejackets now own a 6-7 record. They play next when they host Bishop Brossart for a non-league test on Friday, January 5.
