Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Liberty Leopards (Youngstown, OH) and the visiting North Vikings (Akron, OH), saw Liberty's basketball squad hold off North by a count of 62-59.

With the victory, Liberty upgrades its record to 1-8 on the campaign. The Leopards travel to McKinley (Niles, OH) to play the Red Dragons in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 2. The Red Dragons come into the challenge with a record of 2-6. McKinley lost 59-47 in their recent non-league challenge against Edgewood (Ashtabula, OH)
