Virginia High School Basketball - North Oconee can't hold off Loudoun Valley
December 30, 2023: Purcellville, VA 20132 The Loudoun Valley Vikings basketball team scored 60 points and held the visiting North Oconee Titans to 56 in the Vikings non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Vikings now sport a 7-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lightridge for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 2. Loudoun Valley will battle a Bolts team coming off a 74-62 non-league loss to Atlantic Collegiate Academy (Conway, SC). The Bolts record now stands at 1-7.
The Titans (11-3) will now prepare for their contest against Cedar Shoals (Athens, GA). The Jaguars enter the AAAA Region 8 contest with a 5-5 record. In their last contest, Cedar Shoals was nudged by Habersham Central (Mt. Airy, GA), 61-41, in a non-league contest.
