The Mater Lakes Academy Bears (Miami, FL) basketball knocked off the host Mentor Cardinals (Mentor, OH), 105-90 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Bears (10-5) will now prepare for their test against Columbus (Miami, FL). The Explorers go into the non-league test with a 10-4 record. In their last test, Columbus notched a victory over Harvard-Westlake (Studio City, CA), 55-54, in a non-league test.

The Cardinals now own a 4-3 record. They play next when they host Euclid for a Greater Cleveland test on Friday, January 5. Mentor will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 66-51 non-league win over Gilmour Academy (Gates Mills, OH). The Panthers record now stands at 2-6.
