Oregon High School Basketball - Sheldon tops McMinnville
December 30, 2023: McMinnville, OR 97128 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Sheldon Irish (Eugene, OR) and the host McMinnville Grizzlies (McMinnville, OR), saw Sheldon's basketball squad knock off McMinnville by a count of 70-52.
With the victory, Sheldon upgrades its record to 6-5 on the campaign. The Irish travel to Churchill (Eugene, OR) to play the Lancers in a 5A Midwestern challenge on Thursday, January 4. The Lancers come into the challenge with a record of 3-6.
Next up, the Grizzlies play the Sandy Pioneers (Sandy, OR) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 3. McMinnville will attempt to upgrade on its 6-4 season record. The Pioneers come into the challenge with a 7-1 record after their 77-67 non-league loss to Franklin (Portland, OR).
