Connecticut High School Basketball - Ridgefield holds off Notre Dame Catholic
December 30, 2023: Ridgefield, CT 06877 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Ridgefield Tigers (Ridgefield, CT) and the visiting Notre Dame Catholic Lancers (Fairfield, CT), saw Ridgefield's basketball squad hold off Notre Dame Catholic by a tally of 49-45.
With the victory, Ridgefield improves its record to 4-0 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Staples (Westport, CT) to confront the Wreckers in a Fairfield County challenge on Friday, January 5. The Wreckers come into the challenge with a record of 3-0. Staples won 64-52 in their recent non-league challenge against Immaculate (Danbury, CT)
Next up, the Lancers confront the Pomperaug Panthers (Southbury, CT) in a Southwest challenge, on Thursday, January 4. Notre Dame Catholic will attempt to improve on its 3-1 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 1-3 record after their 89-70 non-league loss to West Haven (West Haven, CT).
