In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Washington Blue Lions basketball team scored a tight 69-62 triumph over the Unioto Shermans.

In their next game, the Blue Lions meet the Gallia Academy Blue Devils (Gallipolis, OH) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, January 2. Washington will attempt to better on its 7-1 season record.
