Georgia High School Basketball - Archer nips Pope
December 30, 2023: Marietta, GA 30062 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Archer Tigers (Lawrenceville, GA) and the host Pope Greyhounds (Marietta, GA), saw Archer's basketball squad hold off Pope by a tally of 66-60.
With the victory, Archer improves its record to 11-3 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Parkview (Lilburn, GA) to play the Panthers in a AAAAAAA Region 4 challenge on Friday, January 5. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 8-7.
Next up, the Greyhounds play the North Cobb Warriors (Kennesaw, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 5. Pope will attempt to improve on its 11-5 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 9-5 record after their 60-37 non-league win over Chattooga (Summerville, GA).
