December 30, 2023: DeSoto, TX 75115 The Benson Tech Techmen basketball team (Portland, OR), was toppled 52-36 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host DeSoto Eagles (DeSoto, TX)
The Eagles now possess a 12-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Waxahachie for a 6A Region II District 11 battle on Tuesday, January 2. DeSoto will confront a Indians team coming off a 60-52 non-league win over Weatherford (Weatherford, TX). The Indians record now stands at 13-8.
The Techmen (4-3) will now prepare for their battle against Cleveland (Portland, OR). The Warriors come into the 6A Portland battle with a 4-4 record. In their last battle, Cleveland beat Crescent Valley (Corvallis, OR), 51-49, in a non-league battle.
