Texas High School Basketball - Calallen crushes Port Aransas
December 30, 2023: Port Aransas, TX 78373 Calallen Wildcats (Corpus Christi, TX) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Port Aransas Marlins (Port Aransas, TX), 70-22 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Calallen upgrades its record to 17-6 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Alice (Alice, TX) to clash with the Coyotes in a 4A Region IV District 31 bout on Tuesday, January 2. The Coyotes go into the bout with a record of 4-4. Alice lost 48-43 in their recent non-league bout against Jarrell (Jarrell, TX)
Next up, the Marlins clash with the Kenedy Lions (Kenedy, TX) in a 2A Region IV District 31 bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Port Aransas will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record.
