California High School Basketball - Helix crushes Central

December 30, 2023: La Mesa, CA 91941

Helix Highlanders (La Mesa, CA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Central Spartans (El Centro, CA), 66-22 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Helix upgrades its record to 11-3 on the season. The Highlanders host Bishop's (La Jolla, CA) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 6. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 12-2.

Next up, the Spartans play the Southwest EC Eagles (El Centro, CA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 4. Central will attempt to upgrade on its 5-9 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 4-12 record after their 0-0 non-league Valley Center (Valley Center, CA).
