Texas High School Basketball - New Deal fells Colorado
December 30, 2023: Colorado City, TX 79512 New Deal Lions (New Deal, TX) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Colorado Wolves (Colorado City, TX), 49-40 in a non-league bout.
With the win, New Deal upgrades its record to 14-9 on the season. The Lions travel to Ralls (Ralls, TX) to play the Jackrabbits in a 2A Region I District 4 bout on Tuesday, January 2. The Jackrabbits go into the bout with a record of 3-10. Ralls lost 73-24 in their recent non-league bout against Whitharral (Whitharral, TX)
Next up, the Wolves play the Highland Hornets (Roscoe, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Colorado will attempt to upgrade on its 8-11 season record. The Hornets go into the bout with a 4-10 record after their 44-23 non-league loss to Sands (Ackerly, TX).
