The Forest Park Foresters basketball team scored 50 points and held the host Mercyhurst Prep Lakers to 36 in the Foresters non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Foresters now sport a 7-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Coppin Academy for a Freelance contest on Thursday, January 4.

The Lakers (5-2) will now prepare for their contest against Iroquois (Erie, PA). The Braves enter the District 10 Region 3 contest with a 0-8 record. In their last contest, Iroquois was defeated by Jamestown (Jamestown, PA), 41-40, in a non-league bout.
