December 30, 2023: Downey, CA 90242 The Heritage Christian Warriors basketball team scored 54 points and held the host St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy Warriors to 47 in the Warriors non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Warriors now sport a 5-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Valley Christian for a Olympic contest on Tuesday, January 2. Heritage Christian will meet a Defenders team coming off a 60-32 non-league loss to Tesoro (Rancho Santa Margarita, CA). The Defenders record now stands at 7-11.
The Warriors (8-9) will now prepare for their contest against Pomona Catholic (Pomona, CA). The Pacers enter the non-league contest with a 2-6 record. In their last contest, Pomona Catholic was nudged by St. Lucy's (Glendora, CA), 51-21, in a non-league contest.
