Oregon High School Basketball - Willamette edges Mater Dei
December 30, 2023: Eugene, OR 97402 The Willamette Wolverines (Eugene, OR) basketball nipped the visiting Mater Dei Monarchs (Santa Ana, CA), 63-56 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Wolverines (8-4) will now prepare for their test against Springfield (Springfield, OR). The Millers go into the non-league test with a 7-3 record. In their last test, Springfield got by West Salem (Salem, OR), 63-51, in a non-league test.
The Monarchs now own a 11-5 record. They play next when they travel to Orange Lutheran for a Trinity test on Tuesday, January 2. Mater Dei will encounter a Lancers squad coming off a 63-49 non-league loss to Bishop Montgomery (Torrance, CA). The Lancers record now stands at 10-5.
