Thunderbird Titans (Phoenix, AZ) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Mountain Pointe Pride (Phoenix, AZ), 49-46 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Thunderbird upgrades its record to 7-6 on the season. The Titans travel to Shadow Mountain (Phoenix, AZ) to clash with the Matadors in a 4A Skyline bout on Wednesday, January 10. The Matadors go into the bout with a record of 1-9. Shadow Mountain lost 44-16 in their recent non-league bout against Sonoma Valley (Sonoma, CA)

Next up, the Pride clash with the Horizon Huskies (Scottsdale, AZ) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Mountain Pointe will attempt to upgrade on its 0-11 season record. The Huskies go into the bout with a 8-6 record after their 46-30 non-league win over Muir (Pasadena, CA).
