California High School Basketball - Newbury Park tops Notre Dame Academy
December 30, 2023: Los Angeles, CA 90064 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Newbury Park Panthers (Newbury Park, CA) and the host Notre Dame Academy Regal Gryphons (Los Angeles, CA), saw Newbury Park's basketball squad knock off Notre Dame Academy by a count of 54-42.
With the victory, Newbury Park upgrades its record to 16-1 on the campaign. The Panthers host Oaks Christian (Westlake Village, CA) to play the Lions in a Marmonte challenge on Monday, January 8. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 3-9.
Next up, the Regal Gryphons play the Immaculate Heart Pandas (Los Angeles, CA) in a Sunshine challenge, on Tuesday, January 2. Notre Dame Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 13-3 season record. The Pandas come into the challenge with a 8-4 record after their 45-34 non-league win over Duarte (Duarte, CA).
