High School Basketball - The Academy of the Holy Cross crushes Varsity Opponent
December 30, 2023: , The Academy of the Holy Cross Tartans (Kensington, MD) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Varsity Opponent (, ), 59-37 in a non-league bout.
With the win, The Academy of the Holy Cross upgrades its record to 8-3 on the season. The Tartans travel to St. John's (Washington, DC) to clash with the Cadets in a DCSAA bout on Tuesday, January 2. The Cadets go into the bout with a record of 9-1. St. John's won 72-29 in their recent non-league bout against Springdale Prep (New Windsor, MD)
Next up, the clash with the Mainland Buccaneers (Daytona Beach, FL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 30. Varsity Opponent will attempt to upgrade on its 62-245 season record. The Buccaneers go into the bout with a 4-7 record after their 61-49 non-league win over Laconia (Rosendale, WI).
