Georgia High School Basketball - Union Grove tops Walton

December 30, 2023: Marietta, GA 30062

Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Union Grove Wolverines (McDonough, GA) and the host Walton Raiders (Marietta, GA), saw Union Grove's basketball squad knock off Walton by a count of 64-52.

With the victory, Union Grove upgrades its record to 13-1 on the campaign. The Wolverines host Eagle's Landing (McDonough, GA) to play the Eagles in a AAAAA Region 2 challenge on Friday, January 5. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 9-5.

Next up, the Raiders play the Duluth Wildcats (Duluth, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 4. Walton will attempt to upgrade on its 4-9 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 1-10 record after their 63-26 non-league loss to Lakeview Academy (Gainesville, GA).
