Virginia High School Basketball - Abingdon triumphant over Staunton River
December 30, 2024: Abingdon, VA 24210 The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Abingdon Falcons (Abingdon, VA) and the visiting Staunton River Golden Eagles (Moneta, VA), observed Abingdon's basketball team overwhelm Staunton River by a score of 89-53.
The Falcons (3-4) will now prepare for their challenge against John Battle (Bristol, VA). The Trojans come into the Mountain challenge with a 2-6 record.
In their next game, the Golden Eagles encounter the Lord Botetourt Cavaliers (Daleville, VA) in a Blue Ridge challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. Staunton River will attempt to improve on its 6-5 season record.
