The Avalon Black Knights (Wheaton, MD) basketball edged the host Parkside Eagles (Washington, DC), 76-70 in Monday's non-league bout.

The Black Knights now possess a 4-6 record. They play next when they travel to The Living Water School for a Maryland Independent bout on Friday, January 3.

With the loss, Parkside falls to 5-6 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to DC International (Washington, DC) to play the Dragons in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 4.
