The Catawba Ridge Copperheads basketball team scored 55 points and limited the host Piedmont Panthers to 49 in the Copperheads non-league triumph on Monday.

The Copperheads now possess a 5-8 record. They play next when they host Northwestern for a AAAAA Region 3 game on Friday, January 3. Catawba Ridge will confront a Trojans team coming off a 49-45 non-league loss to Fountain Inn (Fountain Inn, SC). The Trojans record now stands at 3-8.

With the loss, Piedmont falls to 5-8 on the campaign. The Panthers host Monroe (Monroe, NC) to confront the Redhawks in a 2A/3A Rocky River game on Friday, January 3. The Redhawks go into the game with a record of 0-0.
