December 30, 2024: Pinson, AL 35126 Clay-Chalkville Cougars (Pinson, AL) boosters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Hillcrest Patriots (Tuscaloosa, AL), 66-37 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Clay-Chalkville upgrades its record to 15-6 on the year. The Cougars travel to Pinson Valley (Pinson, AL) to face the Indians in a 6A Area 12 match on Friday, January 3. The Indians enter the match with a record of 11-7. Pinson Valley lost 54-42 in their recent non-league match against Southwind (Memphis, TN)
The Patriots now sport a 14-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Russellville for a non-league match on Friday, January 3. Hillcrest will face a Golden Tigers squad coming off a 51-48 non-league loss to Brooks (Killen, AL). The Golden Tigers record now stands at 6-4.
