Damien Spartans (La Verne, CA) fans went home pleased Monday as they observed their basketball team overcome the visiting Destiny Christian Academy Lions (Sacramento, CA), 61-53 in a non-league challenge.

The Spartans (13-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Etiwanda (Etiwanda, CA). The Eagles come into the Baseline challenge with a 12-7 record. In their last challenge, Etiwanda defeated Chatsworth (Chatsworth, CA), 61-57, in a non-league challenge.
