California High School Basketball - El Modena holds off Estancia
December 30, 2024: Costa Mesa, CA 92626 The El Modena Vanguards basketball team scored 48 points and limited the host Estancia Eagles to 41 in the Vanguards non-league triumph on Monday.
The Vanguards now have a 7-11 record. They play next when they travel to Sunny Hills for a North Hills game on Friday, January 3. El Modena will confront a Lancers team coming off a 56-48 non-league win over Troy (Fullerton, CA). The Lancers record now stands at 13-7.
With the loss, Estancia falls to 5-14 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Oxford Academy (Cypress, CA) to confront the Patriots in a non-league game on Thursday, January 2. The Patriots go into the game with a record of 10-4. Oxford Academy lost 67-47 in their recent non-league game against Kennedy (La Palma, CA)
