December 30, 2024: Baltimore, MD 21210 Holy Ghost Prep Firebirds (Bensalem, PA) supporters left the game happy Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Gilman Greyhounds (Baltimore, MD), 61-58 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Holy Ghost Prep advances its record to 6-5 on the year. The Firebirds host Science Leadership Academy at Beeber (Philadelphia, PA) to meet the Rockets in a non-league match on Saturday, January 4. The Rockets enter the match with a record of 5-7. Science Leadership Academy at Beeber lost 67-45 in their recent non-league match against Owen J. Roberts (Pottstown, PA)
The Greyhounds now own a 1-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host John Carroll for a MIAA A - Black match on Wednesday, January 8. Gilman will meet a Patriots squad coming off a 86-59 non-league win over The Carmel School (Ruther Glen, VA). The Patriots record now stands at 6-5.
