The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Valor Preparatory Academy Knights (Waco, TX) and the visiting Iredell Dragons (Iredell, TX), observed Valor Preparatory Academy's basketball team edge Iredell by a score of 51-46.

The Knights (9-3) will now prepare for their challenge against UME Preparatory Academy (Dallas, TX). The EAGLES come into the non-league challenge with a 6-10 record. In their last challenge, UME Preparatory Academy edged Poetry Community Christian (Poetry, TX), 56-35, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Dragons encounter the Huckabay Indians (Stephenville, TX) in a 1A Region III District 22 challenge, on Friday, January 3.
