December 30, 2024: Uniontown, PA 15401 The Laurel Highlands Mustangs basketball squad (Uniontown, PA), was nudged 62-56 in Monday's non-league battle with the visiting West Allegheny Indians (Imperial, PA)
With the victory, West Allegheny advances its record to 5-5 on the year. The Indians travel to Montour (McKees Rocks, PA) to meet the Spartans in a WPIAL 6A 2 battle on Tuesday, January 7. The Spartans enter the battle with a record of 8-1.
The Mustangs now own a 3-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Franklin Regional for a WPIAL 5A 1 battle on Friday, January 3. Laurel Highlands will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 52-47 non-league loss to Elizabeth Forward (Elizabeth, PA). The Panthers record now stands at 4-6.
