New York High School Basketball - UMS-Wright Prep toppled by Monsignor Farrell
December 30, 2024: Staten Island, NY 10306 Monsignor Farrell Lions (Staten Island, NY) boosters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting UMS-Wright Prep Bulldogs (Mobile, AL), 54-34 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Monsignor Farrell upgrades its record to 4-4 on the year. The Lions travel to St. Edmund Prep (Brooklyn, NY) to face the Eagles in a Catholic A match on Saturday, January 4. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 6-2. St. Edmund Prep lost 54-51 in their recent non-league match against Hughes (Cincinnati, OH)
The Bulldogs now sport a 10-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bayside Academy for a non-league match on Friday, January 3. UMS-Wright Prep will face a Admirals squad coming off a 67-58 non-league loss to Freeport (Freeport, FL). The Admirals record now stands at 5-9.
