St. Joseph Central Irish (Huntington, WV) supporters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Nicholas County Grizzlies (Summersville, WV), 69-58 in a non-league match.

With the victory, St. Joseph Central advances its record to 3-4 on the year. The Irish host Tolsia (Fort Gay, WV) to meet the Rebels in a Freelance battle on Saturday, January 4. The Rebels enter the battle with a record of 1-7. Tolsia lost 73-69 in their recent non-league battle against Grace Christian (Huntington, WV)

The Grizzlies now own a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Clay County for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 4. Nicholas County will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 62-53 league win over Gilmer County (Glenville, WV). The Panthers record now stands at 1-3.
