December 30, 2024: Amite, LA 70422 Oak Forest Academy Yellowjackets (Amite, LA) supporters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Oak Hall Eagles (Gainesville, FL), 57-43 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Oak Forest Academy advances its record to 16-2 on the year. The Yellowjackets travel to Brookhaven Academy (Brookhaven, MS) to face the Cougars in a MAIS 5A District 3 match on Friday, January 3. The Cougars enter the match with a record of 1-4.
The Eagles now own a 3-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Trenton for a non-league match on Friday, January 10. Oak Hall will face a Tigers squad coming off a 70-28 non-league win over First Assembly Christian Academy (Ocala, FL). The Tigers record now stands at 7-6.
