The Riverdale Raiders (Riverdale, GA) basketball edged the host Valiant Cross Academy Warriors (Montgomery, AL), 53-50 in Monday's non-league bout.

The Raiders now possess a 7-6 record. They play next when they host Douglass for a AAA Region 5 bout on Tuesday, January 7. Riverdale will play a Astros team coming off a 67-60 non-league win over KIPP Atlanta Collegiate (Atlanta, GA). The Astros record now stands at 9-2.
